28th April 2026 in TidesMeet - the former Colintraive Church
BREAKING NEWS: Missives have been exchanged today for the purchase of the Colintraive Church by the Friends of Colintraive Church.
By next Friday, 27 March, the building will be owned by the FoCC. Thank you to everyone who supported us to get to this stage of the venture.
Thank you again for supporting FoCC in this venture. It is wonderful to have reached this point at last and we look forward to sharing with you our future plans for TidesMeet in the Colintraive church building! We will provide an update once we have completed the purchase and more detailed information will be available at the forthcoming AGM at the end of April (date to be announced), on the website and by email.
Booking TidesMeet for your event
It is easy to book the TidesMeet building for your event. The building is currently very much an old church building with heating and lighting but no toilet or kitchenette yet. We are taking bookings for weddings, funerals, and naming services at £250 if you have an officiant or celebrant and at £400 if you would like us to organise the officiant or celebrant for you.
Hire for a celebration or memorial service is also available. Please enquire for prices.

Plans for TidesMeet
The FOCC plans to adapt the Church building into TidesMeet - a small, flexible, tranquil space and a venue that we, the community, can hire and use for a range of activities, such as small concerts, workshops, book groups, singing, 'coffee and chat’. A hub where we can meet in a small and comfortable setting, making the most of the natural light and acoustic potential, and complementing rather than competing with any existing facility.
